Spring Poem

In the strong sun-dappled embrace of an old tree,

the babbling brook beside me, winding and flowing forward,

I witness a symbiotic trajectory of living, fluid elements move.

The snowdrops sit beside me, dancing in the breeze…

Always the the vision of my peace, this scene:

my energy parallel, my spiritual bliss.

I am cold, yet comforted,

I am unsettled, yet calmed,

a place of solitude, yet community, of feeling.

My heart lighter,

my breath mobilized,

my thoughts invigorated,

my steps pronounced.

A new language arises from the sensations of my spirit place;

green, clean, aqueous and serene.

Calibrated, I emerge.
